Each member brings unique qualifications and a passion for helping our patients achieve optimal bone density and overall wellness. Together, we strive create a supportive environment where everyone can feel confident in their journey towards better bone health.

Dr. Brandon Orr-Walker
Brandon is an endocrinologist based at Counties Manukau DHB. Brandon has a research background at the University of Auckland (Professor Ian Reid's group) and since moving to Middlemore Hospital in 2001 has headed their Endocrinology and Diabetes service. He provides clinical leadership at Counties Manukau DHB, and is involved in national quality and guideline programs in diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Associate Professor Andrew Grey
Andrew trained in endocrinology in Auckland, and bone research at Auckland University and Yale University. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Auckland and an Endocrinologist at Auckland District Health Board, where he maintains a particular interest in the clinical aspects of bone diseases.

Professor Warwick Bagg
Professor Warwick Bagg is an endocrinologist who has worked with ABD since 2004. He is a clinician at Auckland District Health Board.

Dr. Steven Miller
Dr Steven Miller is an Endocrinologist with Waitemata DHB and is based at North Shore Hospital. He qualified in Medicine from the University of Glasgow, and trained as an Endocrinologist in Scotland. After completing his PhD he spent a year of Postdoctoral Research at the Garvan Institute, Sydney, and moved to New Zealand in 2010.

Professor Ian Holdaway
Dr Ian Holdaway is honorary Professor of Endocrinology at the Auckland University School of Medicine, and an Endocrinologist at Greenlane and Auckland Hospitals. He has 140 scientific papers published in the medical literature and is past President of the NZ Society of Endocrinology. Together with Drs Frengley, Fenton and Grigor he started Auckland Bone Density as the first privately available bone density service in Auckland in 1994.

Dr. Carl Peters
Dr Carl Peters works as a Consultant at Waitemata District Health Board, Honorary Senior Lecturer for the University of Auckland, Educational Supervisor for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, reports bone densitometry for Auckland Bone Density, and in private practice at the Mercy Specialist Centre.

Dr. Zaven Panossian
Dr Zaven Panossian is a Specialist Physician, Diabetologist and Endocrinologist with wide experience in the management of diabetes and various medical and endocrine disorders. Dr Panossian also holds a full time Specialist Physician and Endocrinologist role at Middlemore Hospital.

Dr Ruveena Kaur
Ruveena is an Endocrinologist at Auckland DHB where she is the Fracture Liaison Service clinical lead. Ruveena also works in private practice at ERH Associates.

Lois Wisenberg
Lois is the Senior DXA Technician and has vast experience working as a Clinical DXA Densitometrist. She was previously Practice Manager at North Shore Densitometry until she joined ABD in 2017 and has participated in numerous international research studies with a special interest in Osteoporosis and Orthopaedics.
Lois also has qualifications in Diagnostic Medical Imaging and Nuclear Medicine and currently works part time in Radiology at North Shore Hospital.

Jewel Wen
Jewel has been a member of the Auckland Bone Density team since July 2015. With extensive experience in DEXA bone density and body composition measurement since 2006 at AUT University, she excels in data collection and analysis, providing accurate and reliable results for patients of all ages.
Jewel is truly grateful for the opportunity to work at Auckland Bone Density. She values the supportive environment and the chance to make a positive impact on patients' lives every day.

Rima Hamparyan
After having different roles in the health sector I had the opportunity to join ABD as a BMD technician in 2019 and completed the ANZBMS Clinical Densitometry Course at the University of Auckland.
I love my job and enjoy looking after the people I meet in my role. Outside work I love gardening and my voluntary work at the NZ Stoke Foundation.

Susie Wong
Susie is a medical imaging technologist based at Allevia Radiology, Botany
She trained as a radiographer at Greenlane Hospital and worked there after graduation in 1974.
Susie joined Mercy Radiology in 1989 and began working for Auckland Bone Densitometry when
ABD opened its Eastern Branch at Botany in 1998.
She is currently employed as a MIT at Allevia Radiology, Botany and is working part-time as a Bone Density technician for ABD at its Botany Rd branch.
